Another super simple all fruit smoothie for starting out your week right! Get yourself hydrated and full of all natural energy and antioxidants. I know you need it on a Monday morning!! I sure did 🙂
16oz frozen figs
6oz frozen blueberries
1/2 tsp cinnamon
about 1L water
Blendo all in high power blender!
Garnish with fresh mint leaves (I couldn’t find mine for photos!)
Easy, yummy, healthy– summer is coming!!! Start your day off right by blending the following ingredients on high– that’s it!! ENJOY
2 very ripe bananas
10oz frozen (or fresh) mangos
serves 2 easily (or 1 hungry fruit muncher like me) 😀 YUMMMMMM
Simple and delicious, I pretty much make a fruit and protein smoothie every day for myself and my guy. It is an easy way to get out the door and know you’ll have fuel for your busy morning! This one is a classic standby, strawberries and banana are never wrong together, a happy pair 🙂 I added a hint of orange for some added zest, you could use any kind of tangerine or orange!
2 scoops Soylent (or vanilla protein powder of choice)
4 cutie tangerines
Frozen strawberries, 8oz
Fresh bananas 2
Optional add ins:
Fresh mint garnish
Shredded coconut garnish
Bright and refreshing to start your day right! I made this on a Friday morning towards the end of a looong week. I just needed something bright and happy, something that gave me that happy vacation feel to get my day started out right! This did the trick perfectly 🙂
1 cup water or even better, coconut water!
1.5 cup raw carrots
2 cutie tangerines (or an orange)
1/2 lemon juiced
12 oz frozen papaya mango pineapple mix
1 tsp vanilla
(optional) vanilla protein powder of choice*
Blend on high, that’s it.
Looks like a cream sickle!
Top with shredded coconut and/or cinnamon!
*Vega tasted great, but will darken the color a bit because it contains greens in it; the brighter orange photos was using Soylent
So how are those New Year’s resolutions treating you? I’m not huge into New Year’s resolutions, but I do believe in setting goals! I set some personal health goals for myself back in early November and am carrying these on! One of my goals is to do real pull ups, unassisted. And I am getting very close to this initial goal 🙂
Another goal I have is to simply add more VEGGIES to my life. To most people who see me eat or read my blog, this may seem absurd (because I already eat more veggies than the average american), but for my body’s health, there is no such thing as too many veggies! Smoothies are a great way to pack in some fruit/veggies/protein or anything else healthy you don’t want to take time chewing and tasting, say before work when you are half asleep! You could throw about any veggies in here (try celery, greens..) and all you will taste is mint chocolate. Seriously. YUM. Give it a try, experiment! This one is so tasty and fresh, really wakes me up!
Handful of ice (or frozen apple/banana cut into cubes before freezing)
Water or coconut water, about 2 cups
1/2 ml peppermint extract
1 scoop cocoa powder
1 tsp pumpkin pie spice
1 dash cinnamon
5 dates (I used Medjool)
1 cup frozen spinach
1 scoop micro greens powder
1 scoop vega complete
1 scoop soylent
(or just do 2 scoops protein powder of choice)
Blend on high and enjoy! Optional mint leaf garnish pictured.
It ain’t exactly pretty, unless you like fluorescent green, but it is refreshing, hydrating and healthy! I love this one on weekends after a workout or before walking to do errands. Full of energy and nutrients, but more quickly absorbed than my protein powder fortified smoothies that I drink before work. This one just tastes fresh and energizing!
1 orange, peeled
1 lemon juiced
4 stalks celery
1 cup organic mixed greens
1 cup water
Blend and enjoy!
2/3 cup applesauce (no sugar added) or 1 large apple
10 oz frozen blueberries
1 scoop microgreens powder
2 scoop protein powder (I use 1 scoop vega vanilla and 1 scoop soylent)
1 dash pumpkin pie spice
Blend on high and enjoy!!
Serves 1 large or 2 as pictured.
